“I saw that one of his patients had to wait an hour to see him and that this had knocked down the review rating for Dr. Mora.  In this industry, that is actually acceptable and I really think that the patient should have stuck to the overall ability and outcome of his experince with Dr. Mora and not complain about the wait because he has no control over that, but I digress….

I had three unsuccessful orthroscopic meniscus surgeries with two other doctors (not Dr. Mora) and, unfortunately, I was “bone on bone”.   He took the time to tell me my options and what kind of outcome I could expect.   He was to the point and I found that refreshing, so I decided to have TKR on my left knee.  This was in April 2011.

I am 61 years old and I couldn’t be happier!   Yes, at first with the rehabilitation it was a stuggle, but I knew I had to do my best. Within 2 months i am playing “easy” handball, then from there, within six months, I am doing most everyhting better then before,, with little or no restrictions.

Dr. Mora and a great surgeon and, again, I never expected to be this athletic, again, but thanks to his surgical skills, I am doing better than I ever expected!  I am also off the pain and anti-infammatory pills!

Thank you Dr. Mora for giving me my life back!!”

“Dr. Mora ranks as one of THE best in OC. I would much rather wait for a doctor that takes the time to meet with me and answer my questions, rather than rush me out the door. My knee surgery went better than I had expected (in heels five days later!)  and I thank him for taking the time to educate me and provide me the utmost service. Thank you, Dr. Mora.”

“I have been a patient of Dr Mora’s since 2004 when he replaced my left knee. Since then I have returned to see Dr Mora on several (many) other issues.  Dr Mora has taken the time to clearly explain the circumstance of the problem, the recommended treatment and possible outcomes.  I have followed his advice and every treatment was perfect and outcome better than expected. Sometimes the wait time is longer than expected, but I know that Dr Mora probably has had an emergency or difficult treatment situation.  I know that I appreciate the time Dr Mora takes with me to explain exactly what the situation is.  He provides me ample time to question and make my decisions.

All of Dr Mora’s recommendations have been spot-on and the results have been excellent. Unlike some other Surgeons, Dr Mora examines the patient and seeks the treatment that is best for me, (the patient) and not necessarily is the treatment surgery.  Several years ago, I saw Dr Mora to start the process of the right knee replacement. We discussed this option and Dr Mora recommended that I try as a last resort the series of injections.  This treatment has postponed the surgery indefinitely.

Last week I saw Dr Mora for treatment of a “trigger-finger”.  Previously I had this on the left hand index finger and had surgery to repair the “trigger-finger”.  I was prepared to go to surgery on this right hand “trigger-finger”.  Instead, Dr Mora recommended that I consider a new procedure that he has used for about one year.  This is an office procedure, almost painless, and is completed in a few minutes. My “trigger-finger” is gone, I have had no side effects and no pain in the hand and no future surgery to dread. Consider this, this is a Surgeon recommending a simple office procedure instead of surgery.

I know this post is long winded and probably boring, but someone looking for a “whole person” a caring surgeon and a man who gives back to society, then Dr Mora is for you. He knows the value of Doctor-Patient relationships and practices it to perfection.”

“Dr. Mora saw me after I sustained a gunshot wound to my left knee and compound fracture to my left ankle. The first doctor who initially treated me at the trauma center told me that I would have to retire from police work due to the extent of the injuries. I have to admit my heart sank because I love my job and profession. After that doctor left, I spoke to my chief and my wife and discussed having my leg amputated so that I would be able to return to work and get back to streets. They both agreed that if i felt that committed to my job then I should take the chance and lose the leg. My wife called the doctor back and told him my plan to have the leg amputated he said if I still wanted it done in a week that he would arrange it.

My partner from work introduced me to Dr. Mora the following week. Dr. Mora not only treated me but assured me that he could repair my leg and return me to work. Dr. Mora gave me hope and lifted my spirits which were at an all time low. It wasn’t the pain that had me feeling that way because we all know pain is temporally it was the hopelessness that the first doctor made me feel.

Dr. Mora conducted an operation on my knee that lasted almost ten hours. It consisted of a bone graft and many other procedures that I couldn’t explain or understand. Dr. Mora stayed with me and was present when I woke up. I can’t explain how excited I was when he told me how well the surgery went, but I could tell how tired he was due to his hard work and dedication to detail. He returned to check on me several times until I was discharged from the hospital.

I continued to see DR.Mora throughout my recovery. He made sure that I had highly trained physical therapists and treatment throughout.

It’s been almost ten years since I was shot I’m still working patrol at a high level and my leg healed great. I can lift weights chase suspects, my kids and my wife life is good and without any complications. The rest of my body is wearing down but his repairs are feeling fine.

My family and I are grateful for the work you’ve done and your dedication…Pete”
